Boeing Tries to End Strike with 30% Wage Increase Offer

In hopes of gaining back the over ten thousand striking employees, Boeing is offering a major pay bump. The aerospace giant’s latest proposal, outlined on its website, promises a 30% wage increase spread over four years. Additionally, the company is also offering a 6k bonus if the union accepts their proposals by end of the week

The offer comes amid a tense standoff with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, whose members have been striking for better pay and benefits. While Boeing’s updated terms are certainly an improvement, the question remains whether it’s enough to sway a workforce determined to push for more. With the clock ticking toward the ratification deadline, all eyes are on the union as it decides whether this deal will bring the strike to a close or keep the pressure on Boeing for even bigger concessions.
