Starbucks Trails in Affordability Compared to Competitors

Starbucks may not be the most wallet-friendly option when buying coffee. A new report from Technomic via Restaurant Business reveals that only 51% of customers view the Seattle-based coffee giant as affordable, placing it last among seven major coffee chains.

Leading the pack is Tim Hortons, with 79% of its customers praising the chain’s affordability. Dunkin’ and Peet’s Coffee tied for second, with 74% of customers giving them the thumbs up for budget-friendly options, while Dutch Bros took third at 73%.

With affordability concerns swirling, it seems Starbucks’ premium pricing is leaving many consumers looking elsewhere for their coffee fix.
